The together time is great, but did you know that family style eating can also benefit your picky eating child?
Whether your child is neurodivergent or neurotypical, picky eating is one of the greatest challenges a parent has to face.
A family style approach to meal time could be the trick to help your child get back on the right track. The basic idea is this- everyone gets a little bit of everything cooked for dinner.
"But what if my child only eats chicken nuggets?"
That is totally okay! Everyone gets a chicken nugget on their plate as well. And if you child can tolerate it add a small amount of what you are eating to their plate. It is okay if they are not ready to eat it, but getting the food on their plate is the first step to the whole new world of food exploration. Good luck!
